We Have Classes For All Ages!

On Sunday, September 7^th Sunday School classes for all ages will begin. Pre K and Kindergarten children will meet in the Nursery behind the Sanctuary. Grades 1 and up will meet in the Fellowship Center. The children will be using the Rock Solid curriculum. Adults will meet in the chapel where Bob will lead the study of Romans. All classes start promptly at 9:15am.

Youth Groups

Beginning on Sunday, September 14^th at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Center; Middle School and Senior High Youth Group will begin meeting for the year.

Middle School Youth – Grade 6-8 – Are encouraged to attend.  You don’t have to be a member of Peru Community Church; you just have to want to be here.  This year the Middle School group is under the direction of Lana Knight, Co-Director of Christian Education at Peru Community Church.

Senior High Youth – Grades 9-12 – From any local school, church or country are welcome. Last year we had several active exchange students in our program and kids from three area schools.  They meet weekly for team building activities and discussions. The Senior High group is under the direction of Doug Garrand, Amanda Connelly and Bob Svenson with the youth leaders running the worship service and discussions.

Meetings of Men’s Bible Study are held every other Wednesday at 7:00pm at Pete Lake’s home, 16 Riley Way, Peru. The men will be studying the Book of James and teachings of Paul. The weekly Women’s Bible Study Group is gearing up for another season of friendship, fun and fellowship.  All women are invited to attend this weekly discussion group.  The meetings are held in the homes of members on a rotating basis and are led by Deanne Price, Co-Director of Christian Education at Peru Community Church. We are using the program, “Serious Answers to Hard Questions.”  We will finish the first topic, “Evil” and begin “Science & Religion” on September 22, 2008. Join this group of women at 9:15 a.m. every Monday. Call the church office (643-8641) or Deanne (643-6676) for meeting locations.
