Membership in the church involves a profession of faith, a commitment to God, a commitment to the church and an affirmation of the beliefs of the denomination (Presbyterian USA or United Methodist) which you are vowing to join during the worship service of the congregation you are choosing to join. There is a mutual responsibility of the congregational membership to faithfully participate in the corporate life of the church through prayers, and presence, and gifts, and service and witness.
