Church Council

Our church council members serve a vital role in supporting the church through good communication. Ensuring the congregation knows what each group is doing builds healthy relationships of love and trust. Exercise discipline on behalf of the congregation as appropriate.

What is the Church Council?

The Church Council is the governing body of the Church.
The Church Council is accountable to Jesus Christ to guide the congregation in making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world (Matthew 28:19-20).
The Church Council represents and leads the whole church and is committed to the church's mission and vision.

Class of 2027: Christina Mullen Jonathan Ruff Edward Smith

Lay Leader: Margaret Edwards

All Council members shall be active members of the church.
Clergy may serve in an ex-officio manner with voice but no vote.
Paid employees of the church shall not serve as voting council members.

Church Council Meetings

The Church Council Meeting is scheduled the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm in the Church Office. (Subject to Change)
The meeting date is placed in the Weekly Email Announcements and on the "Calendar" page.
All meetings of the Church Council are open meetings and active members of the congregation and guests are welcome to attend and observe the business brought before the Council.
Any person who wishes to make a presentation to the Church Council, may have access to the Council by contacting the Chairperson or the Office, requesting placement on the agenda using the Report/Request for Action Form.
